What Type of Mattress is Best For a Toddler?

Toddlers need a good sleep. They need it more since this is the time their body takes in developing not only their corporeal appearance but also their brain functions. This is why selecting a mattress is critical. If you pick the wrong one, you might not be providing them with the most comfortable of sleep.

But while there is a full spectrum of mattress choices for toddlers available in the market, it is a chore to sift straight through all of them to find the best one. If you are not armed with the right arsenals in choosing, you might just end up with a faulty mattress. So okay, this is the best time to start choosing.

Mattress Support

A too plushy mattress gives zero support. Or maybe there is but it is not enough. The back of your baby needs to be supported. Also, a plush mattress cannot properly literal, their sleep position.

A firm mattress is what you should look for. This type of mattress gives the retain the body requires especially to the lumbar region. This way, your child can make the most of their sleep and wake up feeling fresh and happy.

Memory foams are the firmest mattress today. They have a density of 5 pounds or over 5 pounds. It is good but it may be too firm. A density of 4 pounds is a best option although some citizen coin this as a substandard memory foam mattress. It is piquant to note though that most citizen have best sleep with a visco elastic memory foam with only 4 pounds of density.

Latex is also a best choice. Most of them come in only 4 pounds of density. The firmness and the plushness-its combination, is a good option for your toddler.

Hypoallergenic

Memory foams lose the fight when it comes to being hypo and non allergenic. They are riddled with all sorts of chemicals that may be harsh to the skin of your wee one. There are those memory foams that are made safer by removing some of the harsh chemicals in there and replacing it with best and milder alternatives. If you are after this mattress, it is best to pick that one.

Better yet, go again for latex beds. It has an innate potential of being hypoallergenic because of its all-natural content. No surprise there since this mattress' main ingredient is the sap extracted from rubber trees. Also, it makes it eco-friendly and breathable which is why it is an ideal bed for your toddler to use.
